Super Eagles remains undaunted in their bid to qualify for the Nation’s Cup in Cameroon

The Super Eagles on Wednesday expressed confidence of winning their Cameroon 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo on Saturday.

Nigeria defender William Ekong told reporters in Uyo on Wednesday that they were ready for the clash.
“It is going to be a good game, everyone is fit and ready. It will be a healthy competition, everybody is working hard to justify his slot, ” the Belgium-based player said.
Portugal-based midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo said they would approach the encounter like a cup final.
“We need to win. Coach Gernot Rohr has a good record. All we believe is that we are going to win,” he said.
Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa said he and the two other keepers in camp, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alampasu, were in top form.
Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has said it will deploy 500 policemen during the match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Spokesman for the police in the state, Mr. Chukwu Ikechukwu, said in a statement on Wednesday the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Donald Awunah, was determined to guarantee security during the match.
