We were welcomed into the international break with a host of countries unveiling their jerseys for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Germany, Argentina, Spain, Belgium and Russia have all unveiled their new designs which they will use at the FIFA World Cup next year in Russia.

African countries not going to World Cup joined in the act as Cameroon and Ghana also unveiled their new shirts.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are currently camped in Morocco ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria on Friday, November 10 and the friendly game against Argentina on Tuesday, November 14.

There have been no words however from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the unveiling of Super Eagles 2018 FIFA World Cup jerseys.

Pulse Sports could not reach an official of the NFF and the Media Officer of the Super Eagles Toyin Ibitoye.

A Super Eagles player however unanimously told Pulse Sports that no information about the unveiling of the jersey has been passed to them.

We have not been told anything about that; camp has been great,” the player told Pulse Sports.

Pulse Sports could also not get any official statement from Nike, who are the kit sponsors of the NFF.

The NFF in April 2015 signed a kit sponsorship deal with Nike after ending their deals with Adidas.

It has however been observed that none of the Nike-sponsored countries playing in next year’s World Cup has unveiled their jerseys.

All the countries who have so far unveiled their 2018 FIFA World Cup kits are all under Adidas.

Ghana and Cameroon who have also unveiled their jerseys are are both kitted by Puma.

 Adidas on Monday, November 6 released eight World Cup kits (Germany, Argentina, Russia, Belgium, Colombia, Japan, Mexico, Spain) with each design taking inspiration from past shirts designs.

According to the sportswear makers, the past shirts designs were brought into the 21st century with progressive tooling and innovation.
