Sasha Obama Serves Seafood In Summer Job At Vineyard Seafood Joint

Sasha Obama, daughter of US President Barack Obama, who has lived about eight of her 15 years in the luxurious confines of the White House, has swapped the comforts for the counter of a seafood restaurant.

The Boston Herald gathered that President Obama’s younger daughter, has taken a summer job serving food at Nancy’s a fried-fish joint on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Not until she was recognized, other employees couldn’t figure out why she had a six-person entourage helping her.

A co-worker told the Herald: “She’s been working downstairs at takeout. We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was.”

Sasha, who’s using her full name of Natasha at Nancy’s, was accompanied to the restaurant by a contingent of six secret service agents.

She has been learning the ropes of the service industry at the Oak Bluffs eatery this week, working a cash register, busing tables and prepping the restaurant before it opens for lunch.

The town has been a favourite location for the Obamas on their summer breaks.

Photographs show the president’s youngest daughter wearing the restaurant’s uniform of blue T-shirt and cap and working at a till.

As well as working on the takeaway counter, Sasha Obama’s other duties reportedly include waiting on tables and helping to prepare the restaurant for its lunchtime opening.

The Obamas have been attempting to raise their daughters as normally as possible, considering their dad’s job and all – this may be why they are letting Sasha get a taste of working a summer job in a resort area.
