NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo Agrees $100m Extension With The Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo Agrees $100m Extension: The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed a four year contract extension with versatile forward Giannis Antetokounmpo worth $100m.
Antetokounmpo, dubbed “The Greek Freak” because of his freakish athleticism, was drafted by the Bucks in 2013 with the 15th pick in the first round of the draft. He has been improving every season since then and averaged 16.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game in the 2015/2016 season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo re-signs with the Bucks
According to reports, Giannis resigned for less than the max without a player or team option in order to help the Bucks build a contender for the Eastern conference. This is perhaps by giving star forward Jabari Parker a max contract next summer.
The Bucks see Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker as the cornerstones to a bright future for the franchise. They would be hoping to keep b0th star players for the foreseeable future.
