Barcelona dropped their first points in the campaign last time out when they were held by Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

Ernesto Valverde could have been happy with his team’s display against a strong opposition as Luis Suarez could have easily brought three points from the capital had he converted one of multiple chances in front of Oblak’s goal.

Barca returned back to the winning ways right away on Wednesday when they eased past Greek champions Olympaicos Piraeus even though Verard Pique was sent off just before the break at only narrow 1-0 lead for Blaugrana (ended 3-1).

Malaga sit at the very foot of the Primera Division standings with a single point from eight opening fixtures.

They are highly unlikely to escape the rock bottom this weekend when they travel to Catalunya to tackle the current leaders Barcelona at Camp Nou in the last game of the day on Saturday.

Barcelona’s Jordi Alba has a minor problem so Lucas Digne may continue at full-back. There could be some rotation though with Denis Suarez likely to start ahead of Gerard Deulofeu.

Malaga’s Recio is suspended so Adrian should come into the midfield. Zdravko Kuzmanovic has picked up a long-term injury again so their midfield options are even less.
