Geoffrey Matheri aka Fongo, who has been accused of raping and drinking his victims blood, was assaulted and sustained serious injuries after a mob attacked him in Kinangop, Kenya.
The mob grew violent and inflicted head, back and leg injuries on the victim after a Kenyan High Court set Fongo free.
The Kenyan Vampire, who had been in custody for more than seven years over murder cases that have since been thrown out, was discharged from Naivasha sub-county hospital.
Peter Matheri, Fongo’s uncle, said “he is a completely changed man.” Matheri also confessed to being anxious that “unknown people want to kill Fongo.”.
Joseph Mburu, on behalf of Naivasha subcounty hospital, confirmed Fongo’s release.
