Failed Turkey Coup: List Of Institutions In Nigeria Indicted

The Turkish ambassador to Nigeria, Hakan Cakil had on Wednesday called on the Nigerian Government to shut down 17 Turkish institutions in the country over their alleged connections with the recent failed Turkey coup .

Cakil made this disclosure when Shehu Sani, Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, paid him a courtesy visit.

The envoy alleged that some institutions in the country are owned by the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organization.

According to the ambassador, investigations by the Turkish government have linked the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation (FETO) to the failed coup attempt, which claimed over 300 lives.

The indicted institutions are:

  • Surat Educational Limited, Abuja
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, in Abuja
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, Kaduna
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, Kano
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, Yobe
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, Ogun
  • Nigerian-Turkish International School, Lagos
  • Nigerian-Turkish Nile University, Abuja
  • The Association of Businessmen and Investors of Nigeria and Turkey/Abinat, Abuja
  • The Association of Businessmen and Investors of Nigeria and Turkey/Abinat, Lagos
  • Ufuk Dialogue Foundation, Abuja
  • Nigerian-Turkish Nizamiye Hospital, Abuja
  • Vefa Travel Agency, Abuja
