Traffic Jam As Bikini-Clad Miss BumBum 2016 Contestants Flaunt Their Assets In Brazil
Traffic was brought to a standstill on Tuesday in the famous Avenida Paulista, the main street of the country’s biggest city Sao Paulo, as some of Brazil’s finest backsides were paraded the streets ahead of the fifth Miss BumBum 2016 competition.
Bikini-Clad Miss BumBum 2016 Contestants
More than 100 competitors from each of Brazil’s 27 states, who are competing to be the winner of the title of best bottom in the South American country, got into the Olympic spirit yesterday by running in their own 100-metre sprint – in nothing but skimpy bikinis.
The raunchy women, who will be whittled down to 15 in the annual competition in November, decided to show exactly what their behinds were made of.
The traffic stopping 27 finalists marched through the streets in trainers so as best to parade their enviable figures.
A representative of Sao Paulo and one of the 27 contestants, Ana Paula Saad, 38, said:
“Running down the busiest street in Sao Paulo in just a bikini is the least I’m willing to do to get to the finals. I hope I stood out from the rest, and that more people in my home city will vote for me.’
Cacau Oliver, competition organiser, said the event aimed to represent the wonders of Brazil, where Carnival performers have been known to take out insurance policies on their behinds.
He said: “It is a beauty competition focused on the Brazilian bum, which is a postcard picture.
“I think that is why Brazilian women look after their bodies, to show they are beautiful, they are complete with a postcard bum, so this competition is to show the strength of Brazilian women for those abroad.”
The competitors will now spend the next three months doing whatever they can to win enough telephone votes from the public to win them a place in the grande final on November 9, 2016.
