Barca Set To Pounce On Atletico Madrid Forward

Reports from Spain has it that Barcelona are set to exploit the loophole in Antoine Griezmann’s contract to sign Atletico Madrid star next summer.
Griezmann has an £89m release clause in his agreement with Atleti until July 1, 2018 but it doubles to£178m after that. As a result, Barca are hoping to use their in depth knowledge to sneak in and complete a deal before the World Cup next summer.
Barcelona coach, Ernesto Valverde is hoping Griezmann can help fill the gap left by Neymar and create a trident with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. It would be recalled that Manchester United targeted Griezmann during this summer’s window but the former Real Sociedad refused to budge.
Griezmann has now scored three times for Atleti this season to help them up to fourth in La Liga, leading rivals Real Madrid with a point, and five adrift of table toppers Barcelona.
